NETCOM.cm successfully launched .com.com, .co.com and .net.com. NETCOM is pleased to announce the long anticipated launch of .cm top level domain registration. Registration will begin at sunrise on June 15th 2009 and will end on July 14th 2009.

Cameeron (PRunderground) May 29, 2009 – NETCOM.cm successfully launched .com.com, .co.com and .net.com. NETCOM is pleased to announce the long anticipated launch of .cm top level domain registration. Registration will begin at sunrise on June 15th 2009 and will end on July 14th 2009.

Applicants for the sunrise period must hold a valid and issued trademark at the time of application. The proof of trademark is required and should be e-mailed to TmValidation@netcom.com. Further details about the sunrise launch will be available at the www.register.cm website.

The sunrise period will additionally be followed with a landrush period which will start on July 15th 2009. This landrush period will end on July 31st 2009. There are no special requirements for the landrush period. Should there be more than one application per domain, the domain will go into an auction system. This is in an effort to be fair to everyone at www.register.cm. Further information about the landrush period and the auction which will follow may be found at the website.

On August 1st 2009, general registration begins. During this period .cm domains may be registered on a first-come-first-served basis. Domains will be registered for a minimum period of one year.

As NETCOM has great experience with the Cocca registry system, we have chosen to use this also for the .cm top level ordering system. The activation process will be done with our current system in a semi automatic method. NETCOM anticipates that by January 2010, the entire zone will work solely with the Cocca registry system.
